Gauri Parimoo Krishnan (SSRG IN 1992) publishes The Power of the Female

Dr Parimoo Krishnan has published an important new volume, entitled The Power of the Female: Devangana Sculptures on Indian Temple Architecture (Perspectives in Indian Art & Archaeology, no. 11, 2013; ISBN 978-81-246-0687-2). This book is an offering to New Art History, taking the study of classical sculptural art and traditional Indian iconography to new heights of interpretation.

Alok Kanungo (UKVF 2003) Humboldt Experienced Researcher in Berlin

Mr Kanungo has been appointed as Humboldt Experienced Researcher at the Institut für Asien-und Afrikawissenschaften of the Humboldt University of Berlin, where he will remain until mid-June 2014. An expert on Indian glass, glass beads and Naga culture, Mr Kanungo has published several papers on Naga culture and external trade and influence following his study of 19th century Naga ornaments in UK collections.

Ambika Bipin Patel (UKVF 2013) appointed as Associate Professor in Baroda

Following her NTICVA UK Visiting Fellowship, Mrs Patel has been promoted to the post of Associate Professor, Department of Museology (Museum Studies), Faculty of Fine Arts, The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda, joining this new position on 6th January 2014. She also gave a presentation on Engagement and Extension for Transformation of Museums in 21st century, based on her experience in UK museums, at the ICOM Conference at Delhi on 10 January 2014.
