History

The Jain Art Fund was set up  at the V&A at the time of the V&A’s exhibition The Peaceful Liberators: Jain Art from India in 1995 as part of an ongoing project to increase understanding of the Jain religion and its artistic and cultural heritage . The V&A continues actively to work with the Institute of Jainology and other Jain organisations in the UK, and maintains an advisory board for this purpose.
